What Golden Star Packers and Movers Actually Does on Move Day
Most people don't know what a mover does until the day of the move — and by then it's too late to ask. So here it is upfront. Four steps, in order, every time. Survey first, then packing, then the truck, then delivery and setup at the new place. Nothing skipped.
1. Survey & Quote
We come to your place (or do a video call) to see what's there. How many rooms, what furniture, any fragile stuff. You get a fixed price after that — not a rough estimate that changes on move day.
- Written item-by-item list
- Fixed price, no hidden add-ons
- Date and time locked in
2. Packing at Your Home
Our own team does the packing — not hired daily labour. Bubble wrap for mirrors and TVs, corrugated sheets for furniture, foam rolls for glassware. Big beds and wardrobes get taken apart before loading.
- Boxes labeled room-wise
- Beds & almirahs dismantled
- Extra wrap for fragile items
3. Loading & Transit
Everything goes into a closed body container truck — not an open vehicle. The truck locks from outside. GPS is on so you can call us mid-route and we'll tell you exactly where it is.
- Rope-and-belt lashing inside truck
- GPS on the truck, live
- Transit insurance included
4. Unloading & Setup
We unload at the new address and put things in the rooms you tell us. Beds and tables get reassembled. Packing waste is cleared out before we leave. You sign off on the inventory sheet.
- Goods placed room-by-room
- Bed, wardrobe reassembled
- Packing waste removed on site
A Few Things to Sort Out Before We Arrive
Things to Do Beforehand
Keep your documents, jewellery and cash with you — not in the moving boxes. Switch off the fridge the night before so it's dry. Back up your laptop if you can.
On Move Day
Get the building lift permission sorted the day before if your society needs it. Count the boxes against the inventory list before the truck starts moving — takes 5 minutes and saves arguments later.
At the New Place
Tell our crew where each box goes as they bring it in. The labels help, but you'll know best. Saves you dragging heavy cartons from one room to another once we've left.
